delhi has shorter days in winter than in summer.how does this affect the weather?

The Earth is tilted and as it rotates around the sun we have seasonal changes. During the summer months (we assume summer for the northern hemisphere) the tilt is away from the sun and therefore because of the tilt the southern hemisphere has more daylight. The angle at which sunlight falls on a particular area determines the length of the day and night in that region. During summer the Sun stays above the horizon longer, making the days longer and opposite happens incase of winters.

If there are shorter days then it cold and the temperature decreases and in the summer it is hot, have shorter days and the temperature increses. In this way the weather is affected.
