Dear student Administrative towns Administrative towns were those towns where the king lived and held their royal courts .As a result these towns become policy making and implementing hubs and administrative centres. Pilgrimage and temple towns are those towns which gained importance due to the devotees who thronged the town to worship their deities.Temple towns created opportunities for sculptors,painters,musicians,flower shops and people of other profession.Madurai,Tirupati and Mathura were some temple towns in those days.Banaras,Allahabad and Vrindavan were famous pilgrimage towns.
