describe any three ways in which individuals with a particular trait may increase in population?

Speciation is the process in which one or more species arise from previously existing species. A single species may give rise to a new species or two different species may give rise to a new species. By the folling ways the traits can be increased in the population which in turn leads to speciation.

GENETIC DRIFT:-When the frequency of some genes gets changed in a small population due to some accidental reasons, such phenomenon is known as Genetic Drift. Genetic drift can give rise to different changes in sub-populations. It is random and rarely produces adaptations to the environment.

NATURAL SELECTION:- It may be defined as a process that results in the increased

survival and reproductive success of individuals, who are well adjusted to the

environment. Theory of natural selection was given by Charles Robert Darwin

Geographic isolation refers to a situation where a species, or a population of a species, becomes separated by a physical barrier (a lake, ocean, mountains, etc.), allowing each group to diverge along separate evolutionary paths.

The effect of geographic isolation is that the two populations are subjected to different selection pressures, since the conditions in the two areas will be different. So different alleles will be selected for, and genetic differences will gradually accumulate between, the populations.

In time, enough genetic differences will occur so that the two populations will no longer interbreed. Then, by definition, they have become different species.
Hope it helps

1 natural selection : some variations are selected by nature these provide survival advantage

2 genetic drift : accidents in small populations can change frequencies of some genes , they dont provide survival advantage ...

3 specaition : if a population splits into two sub populations then these two sub populations cannot reproduce with each other ..

hope u got it

speciation; It refers to the evolution of reproductive isolation among once interbreeding population ie; devolpment of one or more species from the existing species.

genetic drift ;It refers to the random change in the the frequency of alleles in a population over successsive generation due to sampling errors in gametes
over generation the genetic drift will accumulate different changes in the sub population.

accidental death of a population can also lead to the rise in population of another species with particular trait.

->population with special trait may withstand the attack of predators and multiply.this can be termed as natural selection.the unfit individuals get eliminate and the useful trait will survive and pass the variation to the progeny.

Individuals with a particular trait may increase in a population due to the following factors-
1.Natural selection - The variations which give survival advantage to an organism are selected in nature and such traits increase in population.
2.Genetic Drift - It occurs due to change in gene frequency due to accumulation of a particular type of trait.
3.Geographical Isolation- It leads to change in gene frequency leading to expression of one type of traits in a geographically isolated population.
4.Migration- It leads to flow of particular type of gene in a specified population.
Hope it helps you !

the three different ways in which a particular trait may increase in a population are :

1. genetic drift :  the change in frequency of the gene in the dna  is known as genetic drift .
2. natural selection : survival of the fittest after competing and struggle for existence with other organisms in the environment is known as natural selection.
3. variation : error in dna copying during reproduction is known as variation.

When we enter the cinema hall we cannot see properly for a short time, this is because
. Pupil does not open
. pupil does not close
. Adjustment of size of pupil takes some time
. Adjustment of the focal length of the eye lens does not take place
