describe gullivers encounter wit the farmers wife and children

The farmer had received an account of Gulliver from his servant and taking a little piece of straw, lifted him up by the lappets of his coat. He called his hinds about him and asked them if they had ever seen any little creature bearing a resemblance to Gulliver in the fields about them. He placed Gulliver softly on all fours and the latter immediately started walking slowly, backward and forward, to let the people know that he had no intention of running away. Gulliver was a figure of amusement for the farmer but the reaction of the farmer's wife was quite different. Upon showing him to the wife, she screamed and ran back as women in England do at the sight of a toad or a spider. However, when she had studied his behaviour for a while and how well he observed the signs her husband made, she was soon reconciled and by degrees grew extremely tender of her. It was about twelve at noon when the servant brought in dinner. At dinner, the farmer, his wife, three children and an old grandmother sat at the table and Gulliver was simply frightened to be perched at such a high altitude. The lady of the house minced his meat and offered it to Gulliver while he continued to bid the counsel of the farmer.
