Describe in detail the circumstances taht led to gulliver being searched and the manner in which an inventory is made of all the articles?

The emperor of Lilliput was not ready to take any chance with Gulliver. He wanted Gulliver to learn their language. After Gulliver started understanding their language, the first thing he requested was freedom. But the emperor was not ready to listen to Gulliver. He requested Gulliver to grant permission to have him searched. He wanted to be sure that Gulliver had no weapons. Gulliver agreed and helped the Emperor's guards into his pockets.

The two guards then gave Gulliver a careful inventory of what they found on him. They described all common objects that they found – a handkerchief, snuff, comb, razor, knife, journal and pocket watch.
