Describe principle and working of the periscope

Dear Student, 

• Principle: 
Periscope is based on the principle of successive reflection from two plane mirrors. 

• Working:

You can see in the diagram, both the mirrors are placed parallel to each other and they are aligned at 45° with the horizontal so that the ray entering the periscope and the ray coming out of the periscope are parallel.
