describe root regions and structure of root hair.

Dear student,
There are four regions of root, region of maturation, region of elongation, region of meristematic activity and root cap. Region of maturation is the region of differentiation where cells form different types of primary tissues.The increase in the size of root is the region of elongation. The size of the cell increases due to merging of two or more small vacuoles in the region of elongation. Region of meristematic activity is the region of cell division. Region of meristematic activity is protected by root cap which protects the growing tip from penetrating down the soil.
