Describe some common characteristics of materials

Dear Student,
Some common characteristics of materials or in other words matter are:

1. There are three different states of matter namely Solid, Liquid and Gas.
2. Physical properties are exhibited  by different materials in terms of density, melting point etc.
3. Electrical properties like conductivity are also shown by materials.
4. Some materials also exhibit magnetic properties.
