Describe the conflict regarding the distribution of Kaveri river water .

The distribution of Kaveri water has always been a huge conflict among the two states- Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The conflict has its roots in the history when two controversial agreements were signed by Madras presidency and princely state of Mysore. According to Karnataka it does not receive that much water as Tamil Nadu receives. Karnakata states that the agreement signed highly favors Madras presidency and demands for a settlement.
