Describe the contribution of his mother in Richard Ebright's life. What role did she play in making Ebright a scientist.

Dear Student,

Richard had a natural inclination towards studying science. However, it was her mother that egged her on. She bought scientific gadgets like microscopes, telescopes, etc. She was a source of constant encouragement for him. She supported him in his hobby of collecting butterflies. She brought the book 'The Travels of Monarch X' for him. This book opened the world of science to Richard. The book paved the way for transforming Richard from a young enthusiastic butterfly collector to a scientist. She even wrote to Dr. Urquhart and thus helped Richard connect with him. He gave Richard a host of ideas for preparing an experiment for the country fair.

Richard Ebright?s mother helped him by encouraging his interest in learning. She took him on trips, bought him telescopes, microscopes, cameras, mounting materials and other equipments, and helped him in many other ways. If he did not have anything to do, she found things for him to learn. Even the book that became a turning point in his life was given to him by his mother. Hence, it can be said his mother played a crucial role in the making of the scientist.
