Describe the old school as described in the book? How did it influence margie?

In the chapter, the old school has been described as a special building where kids went and studied. All the children from the neighbourhood came to study together in the school. They laughed and shouted in the schoolyard. They went home together at the end of the day. They were taught together by human teachers. Since they were taught the same thing by the human teacher's, they could discuss their lessons with one another and help each other out while doing homework. Margie was highly impressed by how the old school's functioned. She felt that children studying in the old school had fun.
