describe the water cycle as explained in the poem

The fate of the rain mirrors the fate of man and his life's journey toward its inevitable culmination, a return of dust to dust and ashes to ashes which also happens to the rain in the form of giving back 'life to my own origin.' As man charts his journey towards adulthood, he is vaguely formed but altogether changed in the process and yet remains the same somewhere deep within, experiencing adversities as well as fortuitous occurrences, both instrumental in shaping him. His latent potential to be realized, he has to give himself up to the world which also takes from him, and then returns him to where he came from. This marks the journey of man's life as it does for rain. The tone of the poem is reflective and the mood is of a transcendental purity that is created through the soft lyrical words. The rhythm of the poem recreates the rhythm of rain. The movement of the rain is mirrored in the lyrical tonality of the poem, it flows like a song just as the drops of rain move and replenish the earth. The rain goes about its work, creating and restoring life, it is this quiet beauty that is evoked in this poem.
