descriptive paragraph on security guard

Dear Student,
  • I live in Shipra Apartments, Ghaziabad.
  • Our Society has 4 security gates.
  • Each gate is protected by two security guards.
  • We use Gate No.2 for entry and exit to our Society.
  • Mr. Suresh Lanjekar and Mr. Jatin Paranjpe are the security guards who guard Gate No.2.
  • Every day, they wish my father ' Salam Sahib' as we enter and exit society.
  • One day, I asked my father curiously as to why he calls him sahib.
  • I said to him that we should be indebted that he protects us 24/7 without care for the sun, rain, winter, etc. We should be the ones who should call him sahib.
  • My father explained that they call him sahib and wish him because we are his 'anna-data'. It is the money that we give to society as a security deposit that is used to pay their salaries.
  • They wish him so that they can get bakshis every now and again from us.
  • It is also a way to show that they are thankful to us for our contribution.
  • I was bemused. I argued that they serve us 24/7 and are the reason we can sleep soundly at night, without worries. Despite that, they are underpaid, lack job security and treated with little respect by us. It is time that we give them the respect and salary they deserve.
  • I said logic calls for paying higher salaries to people in high-risk jobs. So we are an illogical bunch of fools.
  • My father did not have any points to counter-argue but did not accept defeat either.
  •  I realized that we as humans do know the things that are wrong but want to maintain status-quo so that we remain at an advantage.
Regards,
