The story is about the protest of Indians in Calcutta for freedom. Calcutta was known for not organising any movement or freedom strike, but on 26 January 1931, they did a mass movement and decided to host the national flag at a monument. People were, at that time, not allowed to hold gatherings or meetings, but they openly challenged the British by telling them about their plan with the day, date and time mentioned. The British police tried their best to stop them, but the females hosted the flag and read the pledge at the monument at the fixed time. About 105 females and several men  were arrested. Police had surrounded the monument, beaten the people and terrorised them but nothing could stop the people of Calcutta and finally, after lots of violence , the flag was hoisted and the pledge was read.
