Diff between natural water and treated water

Dear Student,

Natural water means water in lakes, river and oceans which is available freely. It can be used directly from the sources. Further, it is not safe for drinking because it is contaminated with naturally occurring substances, animal waste, chemicals or pesticides and it is saline also (like ocean water).

On the other hands, treated water means - The waste water contains many harmful components like disease causing microbes, toxic chemicals and therefore must be treated to remove these harmful components before releasing it into any natural water body like river. This is necessary to ensure that it does not kill animals like fishes living in water and spread diseases to humans. The treated water obtained from the waste water treatment plants are discharged into the rivers and streams. This treated water is used again for drinking supplies, domestic purposes, irrigation purposes in agriculture and aqua culture.
