DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ACROSS AND 
THROUGH
 

When we say 'Across' it means that one is on something or around somerthing that needs to be crossed. Example: We walked across the bridge to reach home.

When we say"Through"  it means one is inside something that needs to be crossed. Example: We had to walk through the tunnel to go home.
