'Behind' means;

- 'in support of': I am behind you on this.

- 'coming at a later time or previous position': The tyrant left a trail of destruction behind him.

- 'further back than': He is standing behind the door.

 

'At the back' means:

- ' behind in spatial terms': he stood at the back of the queue.
