Difference between bioluminescence and luminescence?

LUMINESCENCE BIOLUMINESCENCE
The emission of light from a substance for any reason except for rise in its temperature is called luminescence. The emission of light from a living organism (in-vivo) due to a chemical reaction is called bioluminescence
Eg. LEDs etc Eg. Fireflies.


Note - Bioluminescence is a type of luminescence which emanates from living organisms.
