Difference between digestion of heterotrophs and saprotrophs

Dear Student,

Heterotrophs have a heterotrophic mode of nutrition. Heterotrophs usually depend on plants or other organisms to obtain their food. 
Saprotrophs have a saprotrophic mode of nutrition. They feed on dead and decaying organic matter to obtain their nutrition.
