 Dear student,

Please find below the solution to the asked query.

1. The young river or the upper course- This is the stages when the river just starts flowing and is full of energy. The river during this stage is usually small and has a lot of rapids. Waterfalls are the characterstic feature of this stage.

2. The middle age or the middle course- During this stage the river slows down and becomes wide. During this stage, the river usually follows a winding path.

3. The old river or the lower course- This is ending stage when the river has completed its journey. The end of the river is called the mouth where the river usually forms deltas.
