Difference between food crop, cash crop and plantation crop.

Food crops are those which are grown for the purpose of human consumption. It is grown to raise cultivated products from the ground. They are sold in the market to satisfy one's need. For example, wheat, rice. maize, corn etc.

Cash crops are those which are grown for the purpose of profit. They are grown for selling in the market. For example, cocoa, coffee, tea, spices  etc.

Plantation crops are mainly grown in large farms for commercial purpose. For example cotton, coffee, tobacco, sugarcane etc.

Food crop: A crop, such as wheat or rice, grown for human consumption.

Cash crop: A crop produced for its commercial value rather than for use by the grower.

Plantation crop: A large scale farming of cash crop.
