difference between fundamental and derived units

Unit is the measure of a physical quantity
units can be classified as fundamental and derived units.
Fundamental units are the one which can be explained without the help of any other unit.Whereas derived unit is a combination of different fundamental units
They are length, mass and time. These units can neither be derived from one another nor can be resolved into any other units. They are independent of one another. Units of physical quantities can be expressed in terms of fundamental units and such units are called derived units.
