Difference between homogeneous and heterogeneous mixture.

Difference between homogeneous and heterogeneous mixture.

1) A homogeneous mixture has a uniform composition throughout its mass whereas a heterogeneous mixture has a non- uniform composition.

2) A homogeneous mixture does not contain physically distinct parts whereas a heterogeneous mixture contains physically distinct parts.

3) Homogeneous mixtures form solutions whereas heterogeneous mixtures form colloids or suspensions.

4) A mixture of alcohol and water is homogeneous whereas a mixture of sodium chloride and sand is heterogeneous.

The mixtures havin uniform composition throughout with no visible boundaries of distiction r cald as homogeneous mixtures while those mixtures having non-uniform composition ...& constituents r 'nt in definite proportions wid visible boundaries r cald as heterogeneous mixtures...

Homogeneous mixtures are the the mixtures whose composition is same throughout . Like you dissolve salt in liquid , it is a homogenous mixture and the eg. of heterogeneos mixture can be sand in water , because it does not dissolve in water .

Heterogeneous mixtures
Heterogeneous mixture
A mixture is said to be homogeneous if its constituents are uniformly distributed and are not physically distinct.
A mixture is said to be heterogeneous if its constituents are not uniformly distributed and are physically distinct.
For example, sugar solution, salt in water etc.

For example: Mixture of sand in water

The prefixes "homo"- indicate sameness.
The prefixes: "hetero"- indicate difference.
homogeneous mixture has the same uniform appearance and composition throughout. Many homogeneous mixtures are commonly referred to as solutions.
heterogeneous mixture consists of visibly different substances or phases. The three phases or states of matter are gas, liquid, and solid.
An example of a Homogeneous mixture is brewed coffee.
An example of a Heterogeneous mixture is orange juice with pulp in it or a carbonated beverage (the CO2 gas is mixed with the liquid).

homogeneous matter is we can say is a only composition of single component and in equal proportion

hetrogeneous mixture we can is a mixture formed by mixing two components

Homogeneous mixture : the mixture in which components competeky mix with each other  and its composition is uniform throughout.

Heterogeneous mixture : the compostion is not uniform throughout and sometimes the different componrnts are also observed.

the mixture among the same type of particles is known as homogeneous mixture

the mixture among different types of particles is known as heterogeneous mixture
