difference between hormones and glands
Hormones | Glands |
Hormones are called chemical messengers because these are chemical compounds like proteins, steroids etc. | Glands are the structures that release their secretions into the body. |
These carry information from the organ from which they are secreted to other part of the body. | They secrete chemical messengers into the blood in case of ductless glands or sweat in case of duct glands. |
eg:- progesterone and testosterone | They are of 2 types: Exocrine and Endocrine glands. |
