Difference between monocot and diacot leaves

Dear Student,
The plants with seeds which have one cotyledon (seed leaf) inside the seed coat are called Monocot plants. All the grass like plants are monocot. The veins of the leaves are parallel. For example rice, wheat, maize, etc.
Plant whose seeds have two cotyledons are called dicot plants. inside the seed coat. Trees, bushes, and other fruit bearing plants like pumpkin, pea, beans, are dicot. Their leaves have net-veins.

Hope this clears your doubts regarding this topic.
