Difference between selective reabsorption and tubular secretion

Dear student,

selective reabsorption tubular secretion
it involves the absorption of water and useful solutes from the glomerular filtrate into the blood it take place only by active transport
it occurs by diffusion and active transport it occurs mostly in Distal convulated tubule
it occurs mostly in Proximal convulated tubule and the loop of henle it is the only mode of excretion in animals that lack glomerulus
Eg: water, glucose, amino acids, salts Eg: uric acid, creatinine, hydrogen ions, ammonia, penicillin
