difference between sporozytes and merozytes?

A sporozoite refers to the minute, motile, infective form of certain protozoa which infects the host cell. For example in case of
plasmodium, the sporozoites of plasmodium are the infective protozoans which are injected by the mosquitoes.

Merozoites are the organisms which are formed by the multiple fission of the the sporozoite within the body of the host. For example in case of plasmodium, merozoites are the protozoans which are formed by multiple fission of sporozoites in the liver of host. They infect the red blood cell of the individual.
