difference between thyroid and pancreas

Dear Student,

Pancreas

The pancreas is a large cream-coloured gland. It is situated just below the stomach. It secretes pancreatic juice, which takes part in the digestion of carbohydrates and proteins by breaking them into simpler substances.

Pancreas also secretes hormones like insulin and glycogon. These hormones regulate the glucose level in the blood.

Thyroid

This gland makes and stores hormones that regulates the heart rate, blood pressure, body temperature, and the rate at which food is converted into energy. This gland is located in the lower region of the neck, below the Adam's apple, wrapped around the windpipe (trachea). The shape of the gland is like butterfly wings having lobes which are attached to one another by a middle part.
