Vegetable Fibres are made of cellulose whereas Animal Fibres are made from proteins.


The major differences include:

a) Strength:

      Vegetable Fibre - Greater

     Animal Fibre - Less


b) Elasticity:

      Vegetable Fibre - Much less  

     Animal Fibre - Much Greater


c) Fire Resistance:

    Vegetable Fibre: Less

     Animal Fibre: High


d) Resistance to wear & abrasion:

      Vegetable Fibre: Less

      Animal Fibre: Greater


e) Quality for moisture absorbency:
