Difference between village industries and cottage industries ? How both are different and/or related from/to rural industry ?

Dear student, 
Both village and cottage industries are related to rural industries. 
Village industries are those that are set up by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission in 1957. They primarily manufacture handloom products 

On the other hand, cottage industries are small scale industries that are engaged in the production of small household items.
