differences between monuments & tomb, palaces & fort with example

Difference between Forts and Palaces -​​​​
                                                   
1.Fort is a fortified building surrounded by walls and boundaries for the protection of territory against enemy WHERE AS Palace is a grand and impressive building used as the residence of kings.
2.Fort is used for military purpose and protection against enemy WHERE AS Palace is used for personal well being.
3. Examples of Fort - Red Fort, Golconda Fort, Gwalior Fort etc.   
    Examples of Palace -  ​​​​Mysore Palace,Hawa Mahal, Fatehpur Sikri etc


Difference between Monuments and Tomb -

                                          
1. Monument is a building,statue that honors a person or event  WHERE AS Tomb is a building or chamber above or below the ground for the dead.
2.Monument is important because of when it was built or because of something in history that happened there  WHERE AS Tomb   purpose is to protect the dead and to provide the deceased with a dwelling equipped with necessities for afterlife. 
3. Examples of Monuments - India Gate, Charminar etc.   
    Examples of Tomb - Taj Mahal, Humayun's Tomb etc.
