the summer season is when we feel hot and the sun rays fall directly on the earth surface. winter season is when we feel cold and the sun rays fall indirectly on the earths surface.
The axis of Earth is responsible for the change in seasons. As the Northern Hemisphere is inclined towards the Sun,It receives direct sunlight and Southern Hemisphere it receives indirect light and vice versa. And there is a change in temperature and the position from where the sun appears to rise.
