differenciate between rulling and opposition party

The differences between the ruling party and opposition party are listed below:

1. The party that gets a majority in an election forms a government and is known as the ruling party. The party or parties that fail to get a mojority of seats in an election constitute the opposition.

2. The ruling party forms the government. The opposition party takes part in legislation making but can not propose Bills or Laws.

3. The ruling party proposes the budget, formulates the foreign policy of the country and makes policies to direct the economic growth of the country. The opposition can support or oppose the ruling party's moves.

4. The ruling party forms the Cabinet of ministers and chooses the Prime Minister of the country while the Opposition offers positive criticism.
