Different between gametic meosis and zygotic meosis

Dear student
Gametic meiosis results in the the formation of haploid number of gametes which then fuses by the process of fertilization to form zygote. The pattern found in gametic meiosis is diplontic life style. Zygote repetitively divide by mitosis to form diploid individual. Gametic meiosis occurs at the time of gamete formation in sexually reproducing organisms which forms zygote after fertilization.

In zygotic meiosis, meiosis occurs in zygote forming haploid individual and showing haplontic life cycle. When zygote germinates then meiotic division occurs which results in haploid filament or plants. Plant produces gametes which fertilises to form zygote. It occurs in fungi and some algae.
