Differentiate between dorsal spinal roots and ventral spinal roots.

Dorsal spinal root: It is one of the two roots emerging directly from spinal cord. It helps in transmitting sensory information and thus forms afferent sensory root of the spinal nerve.
Ventral spinal root: It is the efferent motor root of spinal nerve. It consists of axons whose cell bodies are found in the gray portion of spinal cord.
Both these roots unite to form spinal nerve.
