differentiate between perennial and seasonal rivers

the rivers which flow or hold water throughout the year are called perennial rivers. eg-Indus, Ganga, Brahmaputra while the rivers whose depend on rainfall and they flow only during some months of the year are called seasonal rivers. eg--Godavari, Mahanadi,etc

perennial rivers generally have their source from the glaciers while the seasonal rivers are generally rain-fed.

perennial river have long courses while seasonal rivers have shorter courses.

the former have deep river-bed are swift flowing while the latter have shallow river-bed are not so swift flowing .

Perennial rivers are those rivers which have water throughout the year and are independent of rainfall

While seasonal rivers are those which have water only during rainy season otherwise they are dry throughout the year.
