The primary lymphoid tissue is the thymus, the site where progenitor cells
from the marrow differentiate into mature thymus derived (T) cells. Secondary
lymphoid tissue are sites where lymphocytes interact with each other and
non lymphoid cells to generate immune responses to antigens.
