Differentiate between Reservoir pool and exchange pool.
Bio-geochemical cycle consists of a reservoir (nutrient) pool which is a large and slow moving, usually abiotic part whereas exchange (cycling) pool is a smaller but more active part associated with the rapid exchange between the biotic and abiotic components of an ecosystem.
