diffrence between ADVANCING MONSOON AND RETREATING MONSOON

Advancing monsoon is the one that comes towards India and Retreating monsoon is the one that goes back from where it came 'through' India. Both of them bring rains to the different parts of India.

- Duration of the advancing monsoon is between hundred to 120 days from early June to mid September - during October to November the Apparent movement of the sun to what's the south. The monsoon trough or th low-pressure trough over the the northern plains becomes weaker . It is Replaced by a high pressure system which weakens the monsoon winds.
