Dilip, an employee in Ganga Ltd. was instructed by Mr. Prabhjot the production manager,
to increase production of steel as there was excess stock of raw material in the warehouse.
On the other hand, Mr. Utkarsh the Sales manager, directed him not to increase the steel
production as there was low demand for steel in the market. Dilip was confused as to whose
order to follow and hence unable to work in a proper manner.

​​​​​​a) The principle of Unity of Command is not followed here since Dilip is receiving the orders from two superiors and he is confused whom to listen.
Unity of command : This principle states that there should be only one superior to a subordinate. If there are many bosses or superiors that's going to increase the confusion regarding whom to listen and work will be hampered.

b) Advantages of following Unity of Command:
