Under the autocratic leadership style, all decision-making powers are held with the leader.Such leaders do not entertain any suggestions from subordinates. They give orders and assign tasks without taking subordinates into confidence.his has been quite a relevant form of directive leadership.
Advantages of Autocratic leadership:
1. Quick and transparent decision making
2. Works well where the subordinates are reluctant to take initiative or our not capable enough
3. Boosts the morale of the manager as he enjoys the monopoly in the decision making procedure.
Disadvantages of Autocratic leadership:
1 This leads to demotivation among employees which in turn will take less initiative for the betterment of the organisation.
2. Hostile relationship among the employees and leader which may hamper the coordination among the employees and the leader and become perilous for the organisational objectives.
3. It may promote partiallity in the organisation.
