Dear Student, Sterilization is a technique which prevents the fertilization to occur even after unprotected intercourse. In this, the gametes are prevented to reach urethra (in males) and fallopian tubes (in female). It is a permanent method for contraception. Hence, it should be used as a measure only after mutual consent because it can not be reversed in any circumstances. Regards
