displacement of cyanide and amide ion is never observed in nucleophilic substitution reaction why?? pls answer quickly......
The displacement of Cyanide ion and amide is tougher as they are excellent nucleophile, poor leaving group and strong base. Moreover in aqueous solution they get reduced to amines or undergo hydrolysis to give acid.
