Capture fishery – It includes all type of fishing activities for capturing fishes directly from lakes, rivers or oceans. The fishes that are captured are of several ages – both matured and immature.

Culture Fishery – It is the cultivation or growing and rearing fishes within in a restricted area with care. The fishes are grown completely and then captured for selling them in the local markets.
