Divide a line segment AB of length 9.2 cm in the ratio 1 : 3 by bisecting it twice. Find the measures of the two parts. i got a link but couldn't understand please give diagram also.

intersect ax 3 times...a1 a2 a3
join a3b
Measuring the arc at a3 construct a corresponding arc at a2.
join a2 to b1 on ab
u'll find that ab'/b'b = 2/3.
bisect ab' using compass.
u'll get point a'.
now measure.
when u measure u should get aa'=a'b'=b'b=3.2
and ab'= 6.2
