Dear student,
The force of attraction or the force of repulsion between charged objects is known as Electrostatic force .It can be between Like or unlike charges. Like charges repel each other and unlike charges attract. 

The electrostatic force is calculated using the Coulomb 's Law.

The Coulomb’s Law states that the electrostatic force of interaction two charges in free spaces is directly proportional to the product of the charges and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between the charges.
