Do the vital functions of the body such as digestion get affected during fever? Explain your answer.

Fever is caused by a breakdown in the body's temperature control actions, during fever the body temperature increases. Our body enzymes acts as highly specific catalysts which works best in a optimum temperature. But in fever the efficiency of enzymes decreases. This affects the vital functions of body including digestion.

Yes..vital activities like digestion affected during digestion because when we r suffering from fever then temperature of body becomes higher than the normal body temperature .At high temperature activity of enzymes affected nd even above 50 degree centigrade enzymes become denatured.so essential metabolic activities which are enzyme dependent are also effected.
