Do you think that the seagull's family loved him ? Justify their attitude towards him?

The seagulls' family loved him a lot. His parents and siblings knew when to pamper him and when to nudge him to perform better. He was well-fed and protected by his parents. But, when he could not fly off the ledge due to fear, they adopted a different approach. the seagull thought his parents would keep feeding him on the ledge, but they chose to stay just a distance away so that the seagull would be forced to fly. Finally, he took courage and flapped his wings due to their encouragement.
