Do you think the story "Expert Detective" had an abrupt ending? Give reasons to support your answer?

In my opinion, the story 'Expert Detective' has an abrupt ending because the reader never finds out if Maya and Nishad were able to prove if Mr. Nath was a crook. Maya had listed all the facts which might have helped them to trap Mr. Nath. Her younger brother Nishad had even questioned Ramesh about Mr Nath but all their efforts went in vain as the story ended before they could begin their full investigation.
