Intermediaries refer to firms or persons who act as a link between parties to an agreement/ deal. Middlemen are same as intermediaries.
Zamindars, on the other hand, refer to persons having large holding of land. They keep control over the peasants and collect rent from them.
Intermediaries and middlemen are wider term which include zamindars, so they are not exactly same.
